The boy scooped up the sand put it in the box.
அள்ளி எடுaḷḷi eṭu(aḷḷi eḍu)(6 tr)take up with the hollow of the hand; gather or collect swiftly; grab up, clutch
Usage:
பந்தை அள்ளி எடுத்துக் கொண்டு ஓட்டம் பிடித்தான்pantai aḷḷi eṭuttuk koṇṭu ōṭṭam piṭittāṉ
pande aḷḷi eḍuttuṭṭu ooṭṭampiḍiccaan
He scooped up the ball and took off with it.
